Bridgewater’s Expanded Warson luxury Villa home at The Villas at Ohmes Farm was awarded 2015 Display Home of the Year by the Home Builders Association of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri at the Home Builders SMAC Awards held at Greenbriar Country Club on March 9, 2016. We are honored to receive this recognition.
“Not all Villas are created equal,” says Bridgewater President Tim Miller. So what is the design process for a Bridgewater luxury Villa and what makes them unique?
Twelve years ago, native St. Louisan and experienced homebuilder, Tim Miller, saw a need for a niche home market—homebuyers who wanted the privacy and spaciousness of a home without the time consuming restraints of exterior maintenance—lawncare, watering, snow removal, etc. Founding Bridgewater Communities, he designed three elegant Villa floor plans and has made it his purpose to build a quality luxury Villa home offering The Villa Lifestyle to his homebuyers! The properties Tim chooses are beautiful and in convenient locations that offer surroundings and amenities for opportunities to enjoy the Villa lifestyle.
A luxury Villa by Bridgewater offers distinct differences—differences you will notice the moment you walk in the door. Attention has purposely been paid to the width of doorways and hallways—allowing for more mobility, more room to live. Handles on doorways are lever handles for ease in opening and closing. Open concept designs offer wide open spaces and large windows for light, bright and airy interiors.
Homebuyers comment on the details of a Bridgewater Villa! Higher ceilings demand larger base and case moldings—and the use of taller doors and windows. But it doesn’t stop there. Notice the elegant arched entryways with trimmed columns from the foyer and into the dining room (right). Stately picture moldings provide a distinctive look to the dining room while a custom color on the ceiling and crown detailing provide depth and bring ambience to evening light.
Speaking of light—options in lighting are constantly assessed to provide homebuyers state of the art and cost efficient options, while keeping aesthetics in mind. New LED lighting (glass fronted cabinetry lower left) achieves a stunning look for a fraction of the cost of operating traditional incandescent lighting. Bridgewater includes a sampling of lighting options within their displays so homebuyers can see firsthand what the lighting would look like in their own home. All of this effort aligns with one of Tim’s goals:
“To be even better tomorrow than today!”
Much time is given to sourcing new products and offerings in order that a Bridgewater Villa may be distinctive—a one-of-a-kind home. Rarely does Bridgewater build the same home twice. While offering three floorplans and expanded versions of two, each Villa is unique—due to another Bridgewater difference—we say “Yes!,” to changes! Our experienced Villa Experts work with each homebuyer to ensure that personal taste and lifestyle needs are incorporated during the building process. Since each Villa is unique, time is spent upfront, planning and choosing the floorplan and finishes that tailor your Villa to your particular needs. Before construction commences, a pre-construction meeting is held to confirm all aspects of the build.
Sometimes, a homebuyer may need a home in a hurry or may not want to go thru the entire construction process. Bridgewater offers Jump Start Villa homes in each community—under construction or move-in ready. Dependent on the construction stage, one may be able to make modifications or finish changes.
To make choosing finishes convenient, Bridgewater has created a new and expanded Color Room within their Sales Centers (right). We know your time is valuable and running from showroom to showroom is tiring. To make the selection process simpler we’ve brought the showrooms to you and have assembled beautiful samplings of cabinetry, flooring, hardware and much more! These spaces are bright, comfortable and organized with great materials, making choosing finishes easier and more convenient.
Adding a finished lower level to your Bridgewater Villa (main floor living space varies from 1600-1960 square feet dependent upon floorplan) increases living space by 850+ square feet. Included, is a large great room, another bedroom with a large walk-in closet, a linen closet and another full bath—all perfect for accommodating guests in elegant surroundings and offering privacy for everyone. The entry stairway to the lower level is wider for ease of use and the bottom steps finished in hardwood, flare to offer a stunning entrance to this retreat for you and your guests!
While exterior specifications of Bridgewater Villa communities are determined at community development, homebuyers still have elevation and architectural detail options when building. Our standard brick and stone front elevations combine with low maintenance exterior materials offering an elegant, upscale look. A popular option is Bridgewater’s signature Turret Bay (below left) providing elegant European architectural detail and additional interior square footage.
Since Bridgewater’s first community at Lindbergh Place in Creve Coeur, we now offer many additional communities of free standing and attached luxury Villa homes in Dardenne Prairie, Saint Peters, and Lake Saint Louis. Our aim is not to be the biggest builder but the best builder! For those seeking an elegant, low maintenance luxury Villa home, where quality and detail in construction and the building process are apparent, visit our displays at The Villas at Ohmes Farm or The Villas at Crimson Oaks (new display opening April 2016). Bridgewater would love to build the next place you call home! B
